Richard Allen was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1997. He received both his B.A. and his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Alabama. While at Alabama, Richard was a Senior Editor of the Journal of the Legal Profession, the recipient of the Dean Thomas W. Christopher Prize, and won awards for the best paper in the courses of Decedent's Estates, Patents and Copyrights, and Estate Tax. He also was admitted as a member of Order of the Coif. Richard concentrates his practice in the areas of construction law and commercial and business litigation.
Richard has written and lectured on numerous construction law topics including Critical Contract Clauses, Alabama's Lien Law, Construction Contracting with Public Entities, and Dispute Resolution. Richard is also a member of the Alabama Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors and Associated General Contractors.
