Henry Barnett was admitted to the Alabama State Bar and joined Capell & Howard, P. C. in 1974 after receiving his bachelor of science degree from the University of Alabama and his juris doctorate degree, With Distinction, from Emory University School of Law. While at Emory, Henry served as Managing Editor of the Emory Law Journal and was a member of the Order of the Coif Scholastic Honor Society.

Henry has spent his entire career as a member of Capell & Howard's litigation section, handling a wide variety of cases for almost thirty-five years. For the past twenty years he has concentrated his practice primarily in representing management on issues of employment law. Henry's proficiency in that field has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America. His clients include several agencies of the State of Alabama and some of Montgomery's largest private employers.

Outside the practice of law, Henry is an avid outdoorsman, where he enjoys boating and saltwater fishing.
