Chad is a shareholder in the firm's litigation section, with a concentration on defending claims for personal injury/wrongful death, commercial liability, premises liability, dram shop liability, and products liability. Among other clients, Chad currently represents numerous credit unions across the State and regularly represents various agencies for the State of Alabama.
Chad also devotes a significant portion of his practice to appellate litigation, routinely handling both civil and criminal appellate matters. Chad has represented clients in all three State appellate courts, as well as in the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals -- including oral arguments before the Eleventh Circuit and the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals.
A native of Brantley, Alabama, Chad attended the University of Alabama on a full academic scholarship where he graduated summa cum laude in 2000. He thereafter attended the University of Alabama School of Law on a full academic scholarship and graduated summa cum laude in 2003. While attending law school, Chad was a Senior Editor of the Alabama Law Review and was elected to serve as an Associate Justice of the Honor Court. Chad was also named an M. Leigh Harrison Scholar, a Hugo L. Black Scholar, and a member of Order of the Coif.
Chad serves as the head of the firm's recruiting and hiring committee.
