Lister Hubbard, a native of Montgomery, was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1980. He received an A.B.J., magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia, and a J.D from the University of Alabama School of Law. Lister concentrates his practice in the areas of construction law, public procurement law, and environmental law.
As legal counsel for the Alabama AGC (Associated General Contractors), he drafted and facilitated passage of the most comprehensive reform legislation in the history of Alabama competitive bid law. He has attained statewide prominence in the overall field of public procurement law, and serves both business and government in meeting procurement challenges. Lister is listed in The Best Lawyers in America. He has been designated a "Super Lawyer" in the field of construction law.
For over a decade, Lister has served as legal counsel for the Alabama Pulp and Paper Council, addressing a myriad of environmental issues facing pulp and paper mills across the state. In addition to representing industry, Lister frequently assists developers, engineers and municipalities on various issues of environmental compliance and permitting.
