Mai Lan Isler joined the firm in 2003, and concentrates her practice in the areas of civil litigation and employment law. Mai Lan received her bachelor of arts degree from the College of William and Mary in 1991, and her juris doctorate degree in May 1995 from Texas Tech University School of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude and was an ABA National Moot Court Champion. Mai Lan was born in Danang, Viet Nam, and was raised in Virginia, Germany, Illinois, Georgia, and Maryland as the daughter of an Army officer.
Prior to joining Capell & Howard, Mai Lan practiced law in Texas and Virginia, and served as Adjunct Professor and Moot Court Advisor for the College of William and Mary School of Law. While in Texas, she practiced in the Dallas office of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue in the area of commercial litigation and products liability. While in Virginia, Mai Lan practiced with two different law firms in the areas of employment law and general litigation.
