Brooke Lawson is a partner in the firm's litigation section. He concentrates his practice in the area of construction law.
Brooke's construction practice involves a wide range of construction disputes, including highway and road construction projects, automobile-manufacturing plants, municipal treatment facilities, shopping centers, office buildings, beach condominiums, multi-family residences, and homes. Brooke has represented owners, general contractors, subcontractors, insurers, suppliers, engineers, and architects throughout Alabama and the southeastern United States in both state and federal courts and in arbitration. He has represented clients on all aspects of construction projects, including the preparation and negotiation of contract documents, bid disputes, change order disputes, delay claims, cost overruns, defective work claims, and payment disputes. Brooke has also been involved in a number of matters involving work-site accidents and injuries and he has advised clients on OSHA compliance and safety issues.
Brooke's practice has also included a variety of commercial and business litigation matters, including state and national consumer class action defense, fraud and negligence claims, and product liability litigation.
Brooke is admitted in both Alabama and Georgia. He received his B.A. in 1988 from the University of Alabama and his J.D. in 1994 from Cumberland School of Law. In 1996, Brooke earned his LL.M. in Environmental Law from George Washington University.
