Brooke Lawson is a partner in the firm’s litigation section. He concentrates his practice in the areas of construction law, complex commercial and business litigation, and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.
Brooke has extensive experience representing owners and developers, contractors and subcontractors, design professionals, sureties, suppliers, and industry trade associations at every stage of a construction project: conception, planning, performance, and closeout. His extensive construction litigation experience includes claims involving negligent design and construction, contract disputes, payment disputes, and Miller Act claims, as well as workplace accidents and injuries. He also has considerable experience litigating, arbitrating, and mediating home construction disputes. Brooke has participated in trials, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations throughout the Southeast United States.
Brooke has been involved in a number of matters involving work-site accidents and injuries, and he advises clients on OSHA compliance and safety issues. He has experience in environmental litigation and administrative proceedings involving various federal and state statutes and regulations. He also has extensive experience in complex commercial and business litigation, employment disputes, truck accident litigation, personal injury, and dram shop claims.
In addition to his experience litigating claims, Brooke serves as an arbitrator and mediator in commercial, construction (both commercial and residential), and consumer cases.
