Bob Northcutt has practiced law for over 45 years, advising and defending clients on numerous legal issues. He has regularly served as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Alabama and served as Co-Chair of the Firm’s Litigation Section, Chair of the Nonprofit Organization Section, and as a member of its Board of Directors. He is recognized by Best Lawyers in America® for his work in Commercial Litigation and Insurance Defense.
Bob has experience in all types of civil litigation, in state and federal court, and in arbitration. His practice has also included advising public and private entities, officers and directors on matters related to corporate governance, conflicts of interest, strategic planning contracts, and other issues. His litigation has included cases alleging wrongful death, personal injury, products liability, commercial disputes, church disputes, anti-trust, discrimination, insurance, fraud, bad faith, breach of fiduciary duty, asbestos and toxic torts.
Bob has served as statewide counsel for two Fortune 500 companies and has defended cases throughout the State. Bob has represented numerous state agencies and governmental entities and successfully represented the State and its insurers in the largest arbitration of its type brought pursuant to state statute.
