For more than thirty years, Bowdy J. “Bo” Brown’s legal practice has centered around several facets of law, involving real estate, representing lenders and borrowers in secured transactions, advising lenders and owners in workouts, and handling real estate litigation and title defense litigation.
Bo’s real estate practice has emphasized the development of planned residential communities and commercial projects from shopping centers, apartments, office buildings and warehouse space — culminating with both residential and commercial transactions.
Bo is experienced in serving the legal needs of both creditors and business organizations by providing a variety of creditor-oriented and business-related legal representation. These include commercial and general civil litigation, advocating for receiverships, handling residential and commercial foreclosure, eviction and ejectment services, as well as exclusively representing creditors in all types of bankruptcy proceedings. This representation includes routinely preparing and filing claims, analyzing and objecting to plans and prosecution of stay-lift motions, handling non-dischargeable debt actions, defending preference, fraudulent transfer and lien avoidance claims. Bo has served as counsel for unsecured creditor committees and often teams up with firm litigation colleagues to provide an integrated, complete defense for bankruptcy litigation matters.
Lastly, Bo has substantial experience in representation of title insurance companies’ insureds in defending and resolving title claims.
