Caitlin E. Cobb is a Shareholder in the litigation section at Capell & Howard, P.C., where her practice focuses on civil rights and constitutional litigation, including claims brought pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 1983, as well as administrative law, corrections-related litigation, insurance defense, labor and employment, and representation of nonprofit organizations and institutions.
A native of Montgomery, Caitlin earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Alabama, graduating magna cum laude in 2017. She received her Juris Doctor from The University of Alabama School of Law in 2021, where she distinguished herself as a leader across numerous academic and extracurricular organizations. During law school, she served as Symposium and Social Media Chair and Articles Editor for the Alabama Civil Rights & Civil Liberties Law Review, President of the Alabama Law Alumni Society, and Co-Chair of the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board. She also contributed as Co-Chair of the Student Bar Association Elections Board, an Alabama Law Ambassador, and a member of the Carol R. Andrews American Bar Association National Moot Court Team.
In addition to her legal practice, Caitlin is actively involved in professional and community organizations. She serves on the boards of Brantwood Children’s Home, the Heart of Alabama Food Bank, and the Samaritan Counseling Center. Her professional affiliations include the Montgomery County Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar and its Young Lawyers Section—where she serves on the Executive Committee, and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. Her professional recognitions include selection to Montgomery’s “40 Under 40,” the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association’s “Women in the Law: Distinguished Service” Award, and inclusion in “Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch” for 2026.
Caitlin remains engaged in firm leadership as a member of Capell’s Marketing and Recruiting Committees and is committed to mentoring future lawyers through her involvement with the University of Alabama School of Law. Caitlin loves to spend time at the beach with her husband and dog and is an active member of First United Methodist Church of Montgomery.
