Caty Richardson obtained her bachelor’s degree in Journalism, summa cum laude, from Auburn University in 2001 and her juris doctoratemagna cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2004. Caty has practiced with the Estate and Tax Sections  of Capell & Howard, P.C. since her admittance to the Bar in 2004. In 2011, Caty moved to her hometown of Eufaula, Alabama, and she continues to practice with the firm from Eufaula primarily in the fields of estate and tax planning, estate and trust administration, and estate and trust litigation. She also handles other probate court matters including guardianships, conservatorships, and adoptions.

Attorney Caty Richardson has been appointed to serve on the Eufaula City School Board of Education. Caty served as PTO President for Eufaula Primary School from 2016-2018 and Eufaula Early Learning Center from 2015-2016. She recently received the Liberty Legacy Super Citizen Award from second graders at Eufaula Primary School for her volunteer work. Caty is a member of the Christ Child Circle service organization in Barbour County where she volunteers with the Boys and Girls Club of Eufaula and the Kans for Kids program at Barbour County Schools and Eufaula City Schools, assists with school supplies for city schools and a Circle scholarship for high school seniors, and helps with the back to school clothing sale. She currently serves as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees at First United Methodist Church of Eufaula, where she is also a member of the Children’s Ministry Team and a Sunday School teacher. Caty is proud to have served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader since 2012.
