Michael Dalton is a shareholder in the firm’s Business Department. His practice includes representation of individuals and businesses in a wide variety of corporate and transactional matters. Michael regularly advises both corporate and nonprofit clients in M&A and other reorganization transactions.
Michael maintains a general corporate and tax practice. He devotes a substantial portion of his practice to representing privately held companies in general corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, development projects, business and tax planning, internal restructuring and financing transactions. He is also heavily involved in economic development matters, advising businesses in connection with negotiation of incentives and the implementation of economic development projects.
Michael received a B.A., summa cum laude, from Auburn University in 1998. He received his law degree from Vanderbilt University in 2002, and earned his LL.M. in Taxation from Northwestern University School of Law in 2003. Prior to attending law school, Michael worked as a research assistant for a Member of the British Parliament.
