Brooke Lawson is a partner in the firm’s litigation section. He concentrates his practice in the areas of construction law, commercial and business litigation, and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.

Brooke has extensive experience representing owners and developers, general contractors, design professionals, subcontractors, sureties, suppliers and industry trade associations at every stage of a construction project: conception, planning, performance and closeout. He has drafted and negotiated contracts for both private and public projects. His extensive construction litigation experience includes claims involving negligent design and construction, contract disputes, liens and payment issues, Miller Act claims, as well as workplace accidents and injuries. Brooke has participated in trials, hearings, mediations and arbitrations in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee. He also has considerable experience as a panel and sole arbitrator in numerous commercial, construction, and consumer cases.

Brooke has been involved in a number of matters involving work-site accidents and injuries and he advises clients on OSHA compliance and safety issues. He has experience in environmental litigation and administrative proceedings involving various federal and state statutes and regulations. Brooke has considerable experience litigating employment claims related to age, sex, and race discrimination and enforcement of non-competitive, and non-disclosure agreements. He also has extensive experience in commercial and business litigation, trucking litigation, consumer fraud, contract disputes, class actions, products liability, personal injury, premises liability, dram shop defense, and collections.
