Sydney Jeffcoat

While in law school, Sydney served as Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy, President of the Alabama Student Bar Association, and Finance Director for the Henry Upson Sims Moot Court Board. She was also involved in Women in Law, First Generation Lawyers, and the Christian Legal Society. Her academic achievements include consistent recognition on the Dean’s List, selection as a Judge Abraham Caruthers Fellow, and receipt of the Scholar of Merit (CALI) Award in Scientific Evidence.

In addition to her academic studies, Sydney served as a judicial extern to U.S. Magistrate Judge Kelly Fitzgerald Pate in the Middle District of Alabama, where she gained firsthand insight into federal court proceedings and judicial decision-making. She also served as a student clinician in the Cooney Contracts and Risk Management Clinic, where she reviewed and analyzed construction, insurance, and surety contracts and assisted in evaluating risk management issues.

Sydney’s practice is primarily focused on labor and employment law, where she advises and represents employers in a wide range of workplace matters. In addition, her practice includes administrative law, nonprofit and religious organizations, litigation, insurance defense, government law, and business and corporate law.

Outside of the office, Sydney enjoys spending time with family and friends, visiting the beach, and attending Auburn sporting events.
