Tara H. Chambliss

(334) 241-8020

Tara Chambliss is from Prattville, Alabama. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Tara had a successful career working as an Alabama Licensed Professional Engineer and National Bridge Inspection Standards Certified Bridge Inspector.

Although Tara had an interest in studying law early on, she was persuaded that her strong mathematical and analytical skills were well suited for a career in engineering — and they were. She worked in bridge design and maintenance for several years before she and her husband, also a civil engineer, opened a small firm. There, it was necessary to hone new skills that allowed her to manage not only design projects but also business operations, human resources, and client retention. During that time, Tara never lost interest in the law, as it was vital that she stay abreast of issues and changing conditions affecting her industry, her employees and her bottom line. Pursuing a legal career was a change of direction, but not a radical one.

Tara graduated, summa cum laude, from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, where she served as Managing Editor of the Law Review (2022-23) and was a member of the National Moot Court Team. She received the James J. Carter Scholarship Award and 16 Best Paper Awards. Although she may be a new attorney, Tara is not new to many of the issues facing her clients.
