J. Mitchell Sikes appointed to serve on Task Force

Associate Attorney J. Mitchell Sikes was appointed by the Supreme Court of Alabama to serve on the Task Force on Restyling the Alabama Rules of Civil Procedure.

A Montgomery native, Mitchell studied at Auburn University before graduating from Auburn University Montgomery in 2020 with his bachelor’s degree in finance. He received his juris doctor, magna cum laude, from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University in 2023.

While in law school, Mitchell served as Editor-in-Chief of the Faulkner Law Review. He was named to the Dean’s List throughout the entirety of his studies and received eleven best paper awards. Mitchell was also a Walter J. Knabe Scholar and received the Dean’s Award for his scholarship and contributions to the law school.

Mitchell joined Capell & Howard, P.C., as an associate attorney in 2023 and concentrates his practice in the areas of construction law, commercial and business litigation, and administrative law.
